Promises

Healthy doses of whimsy, silliness and tom-foolery
I'll share in your dreams and hopes
Equity
Smiles, giggles, hugs and neck rubs
I'll show you how to work the DVD player
We'll go on adventures and slay dragons together and dress up like pirates "Aarg!"
And we'll fall in love again and again
I hope to give you a thousand sunny days and live the sweetest dream!

Darienne's Vows

You're the Lewis to my Clark, the Calvin to my Hobbes, the Getz to my Gilberto. The opening chapters of our adventures together have thrilled and delighted me, and even the scary parts weren't so frightening because I knew there would be a happy ending.

I love the playful little boy in you, the precocious teenager I didn't know but still run into now and then, and the ambitious, generous and intelligent young man I'm marrying today. I even love the grumpy old man you say you'll be.

I will give you room to grow and to change, and encourage your creativity and curiosity. I'll sing off-key for you, write bad haiku.

I'll continue to encourage your hopes and dreams. You've helped me realize my strengths, accept my flaws, and to learn about myself.

I hope to do the same for you.

We've enjoyed a happy journey so far. With you by my side, I'll always be looking forward to our next adventure.
